The College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology is one of the Constituent colleges of the Junagadh Agricultural University.Under the faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology came in to existence in March-April, 1984 at Junagadh Campus of Gujarat Agricultural University.
The college offers B. Tech. programme in Agricultural Engineering and M. Tech. programmes in Agricultural Process and Food Engineering, Farm Machinery and Power, Soil and Water Engineering and Renewable Energy Management. The college has five departments namely Farm Machinery and Power, Soil and Water Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering, Renewable Energy and Rural Engineering and Agricultural Engineering Extension Education.
The mission of the College is :
- To produce good quality Agricultural Engineers
- To provide the required manpower in the field of agricultural engineering suitable for research and education, extension, government agencies, private industries, agro-industries, NGO, etc.
- To assist farmers in reduction in cost of cultivation through better utilization of efficient machinery, soil and water conservation, irrigation management, value addition through farm level processing, post harvest technology; ultimately help the farmers to increase their earnings.
