GOLD MEDAL TO INDIA IN COMMONWEALTH GAMES 2010
19th Commonwealth Games started on 3rd October 2010 with its incredible beginning stunned everyone over the Globe. Allthough the gait is slow for India. Sukhan Dey and Sonia Chanu won Silver Medal for India on 4th October 2010 in Weighlifting. Today India wins its first Gold Medal in Shooting by Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang in pairs 10m air rifle and created Commonwealth Games Record.
The pair shot a Games record 1193 points at the Dr Karni Singh range to spark a mass media scrum.
England pair James Huckle and Kenny Parr finished a distant second to win silver with 1174 points.
Bangladesh’s Abdullah Hel Baki and Mohammad Asif Hossain Khan took the bronze with 1173.
